Tips on traveling and booking travel during mercury retrograde

only half kidding

Mercury Retrograde…

If you  haven’t heard of it:  it’s the tornado that runs through our planets 4 times a year, forcing us to test our patience and trust that all the mayhem is for the better. The planet Mercury rules transportation, communication, TRAVEL, contracts, and such. You might find there are delays in air and car travel, missed meetings, computers crashing, contract issues, mix up in plans, and other hurdles that feel extra challenging in that moment.

It’s as if communication and technology just “take a vacation”…. without inviting us…. how rude! ;) Mercury is in retrograde now and we’ve had it all over here in LLYOV world; misunderstandings, contract mishaps, people only responding to parts of emails, offers being taken back, double bookings. *sigh* The Live Like You’re On Vacation belief system gets rocky and we have to pull ourselves back to reality, breathe, and get some vitamin D.

We just all have to accept that while Mercury Retrograde may feel inconvenient it’s just reminding us that “our” plans aren’t “ours” and just like everything plans change,  so go with the flow, maybe even laugh about it.

Here are some tips for making the most of Mercury Retrograde:

-Plan ahead. Give yourself plenty of time to get from one place to another. Re-read anything scheduled or planned and set alarms.

-Take notes. Make note of a few places to eat, sleep, and see before your leave your hotel. Don’t forget the address of your hotel and any emergency contact numbers.

-Map it. Get out your good ol’ fashion map cause we can’t always count on these magic boxes for directions.

-Prepare. Bring 1 thing that will make you happy if you were stuck in a train, an elevator, a flight delayed or a broken down car. A book? yo-yo? Make a copy of all your records. And secure your bags.

-Laugh about it. cause lets face it that’s all we can really do anyway

Mercury Retrograde is great for planning and researching. Sooooo lets plan a trip!
