The morning I left for San Francisco was far from typical. I barely slept that night because once again I was about to experience a first with Camp Zeno! The thought of an RV road trip was beyond any dream of ‘things to experience’ at camp. It would be a journey that would be hard to top, and once again being with my Zeno family would definitely yield me an experience that would last me my lifetime.
I travel mostly by myself which can be a challenge at times. Mainly because I need assistance with everything, so I have to rely on my warm disposition and my good charms in hopes that I am seated by a person who is willing to help me out occasionally. I met a guy by the name of Ken on the flight. We had such a great flight from Atlanta to San Francisco! I told him all about camp and how excited I was about our five day RV excursion. We laughed and told stories and he helped me straighten back up as my body slumped over constantly.
I am always in awe of doing things for the first time. This was my first trip to San Francisco. It was my first time traveling in an RV. It was my first time eating my meals outside by the fire and singing songs into the night with those I consider my family. It was my first time enjoying the luxuries of a spa and enjoying the scenery from windows big enough for me to see out of while traveling. I was completely fascinated at the fact that we were traveling in this mode of transportation and it was our home for those few days. One of the things I love most about camp is how we all become pioneers! It gives me the courage to dream much bigger then I ever have. This trip was such a blast! It was a very special time with those that I love and a very special trip that makes me realize that I am the happiest I’ve ever been in my adult life.
