Thanks to everyone that came out to support LLYOV! We raised a lot of money for Odanadi and had a blast getting to meet our readership and fellow LLYOVers. We hope to do something like this again soon. Let us know if you’d like to be involved.

I just returned from a few days in Vegas for a dear friends bachelorette party. I haven’t been to Vegas in a couple of years. To be honest, it’s not my cup of tea or I guess I should say bucket of pina colada. I’m happy to report I had a BLAST and of course had to share a few ideas for making the most of this landlocked cruise ship.
I have just come home from a trip that can best be described as “magical”. Upon planning my trip to the Côte d’Azur I assumed that most of my days would be filled with lounging on pebble beaches or hopefully a new friend’s yacht. When I arrived in Cannes I instantly felt that horrible instinctive feeling; “I’ve GOT to get OUT of here!”. This feeling often rumbles at the sight of too many tourists, over crowded beaches, and worst of all, over priced and mediocre food.
Here are are few of the highlights from my last trip to the city that doesn’t sleep…….
We can all agree that booking the ticket and sitting on the flight are probably the less desirable parts of our vacations. Unless you have a Black American Express Card you are likely going to spend a great deal of time prowling the web and speaking with Airline employees or the machines that pretend to be people (hit 0 and you eventually get someone on the line…sometimes).
Living in Venice, I’m around a lot of artists. Musicians, painters, poets, filmmakers, photographers, and many that do it all. I dabble in the world of creation so I feel like I can speak on behalf of artists when I say, “letting your art out is SCARY!”
Every now and then you may find yourself fortunate and have some $ to spend and need a quick fix getaway. This post may come as no brainer to some of you web savvy folks, but for those of you not savvy in the ways of booking a fancy all-inclusive or last minute getaway allow me to enlighten you….
When was the last time you heard someone say: “Oh MAN! I just had the most INCREDIBLE idea and PRODUCTIVE creative experience, while sitting at my computer after a long, hard day of trying & thinking & typing!
Or… “You know that PROBLEM I’ve been trying to solve? The ANSWER totally came to me, like an EPIPHANY … while I was mindlessly checking my Twitter stream!”
Kind of like living together, you never truly know the ins and outs of your lover till you have traveled together. Being that travel is one of my favorite things to do this often occurs early on in my more serious relationships. My boyfriend Dan and I took a 3 month trip around the world last summer. We in turn had some of the best AND worst times of our relationship. Here are a few things I learned from that and other trips with lovers:
